A short story about a small moon “Phobos”

Phobos is one of the moons that revolves around Mars. It will eventually crash into the planet. As of right now it is less than 4,000 miles away from Mars.

In fact that is the closest any moon revolves around its host planet. If Earths moon was this close the moon would be 20 times the size in the night sky which would make a full moon akin to a cloudy day (at noon) meaning there would be no night for the most part.

So as time drags on Phobos will eventually crash into Mars. If you want to watch the event take place I suggest ordering your telescope in advance for your descendants. Its going to be a while unfortunately. We have between 30–50 million years before the crash. Fingers crossed but I doubt I will see it in our life time lol.

This is just a short bit of info. Stay tuned for more interesting space facts
